Creating Tags

To add Google Ads (formerly AdWords) conversions to Fixel, please follow these steps:
  1. In your Google Ads account, navigate to:
    Tools > Measurement > Conversions
  2. Create a new conversion of the type ‘Website’
  3. Name the conversion, e.g. ‘Fixel High’
  4. For Category, choose ‘Other’
  5. For Value, choose ‘Don’t use a value’
  6. For Count, choose ‘One’
  7. For Include in “Conversions”, choose ‘No’
  8. Select ‘Create and continue’
  9. In the Tag Setup, choose ‘Use Google Tag Manager’
  10. Copy the Conversion ID and Conversion Label

Be sure to repeat this workflow for each segment of Fixel users (Basic, Med, High)

The end result will be a simple 3 by 4 table:

Creating Remarketing Lists

To create the remarketing lists in Google Ads, please follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to Google Ads
  2. To open the Shared Library, click the tool menu
  3. Click Audience manager
  4. Click Audience Lists
  5. To add a website visitors list, click the plus button and select “Website visitors”
  6. On the page that opens, start by entering a descriptive remarketing list name
  7. On the “List members” drop-down menu, select “Visitors of a page with specific tags”
  8. In the Tags section, select the specific tags that define who to include in your remarketing list, e.g. ‘Fixel High’
    These are the tags created in the previous section
  9. Enter a membership duration, which is how long you want a visitor to stay on your list. You can change the membership duration at any time
  10. Enter an optional description of your audience
  11. Click Create Audience

Be sure to repeat this workflow for each segment of Fixel users (Basic, Med, High)
